Ubuntu versus Debian

Image
It is time for me to reinstall my laptop. What should I choose as the main OS? Debian is pretty cool and lightweight as compared to Ubuntu. Unfortunately, the trend is not too good. Ubuntu, on the other hand requires a little more resources than Debian. The interestingly fact is that the trend is showing me something else. Have a look at this live trend from Google . Otherwise, this is as of February 25, 2012. Ubuntu is blue. Debian is red. I can see Debian is getting less popular, but I couldn't install the resource hungry Ubuntu, so proceeded with Debian 6 (Squeeze).

After doctoring, unfortunately, it says that my existing Skype account in my Pre 3 is not available on this device. Now it is time for me to push Skype in. After trying to utilise the new Skype app from webOS 2.2.4, unfortunately, it didn't work as expected as HP has embedded into Enyo framework. I am reluctant to extract those changes. Then I look back to my Pre 2 Skype app installation, I realised that the filename was similar but the size is different. Pre 3 webOS 2.2.4 Skype app size: 311.9kb (30 Novembe
